Position Paper “Electric Machine – Status Quo, Outlook and Need for Action for the German Economy” (German report)

The electric machine is a key component of the drive train in electric vehicles. In its position paper, WG 4 looked at the framework conditions for the production of electric machines in Germany – starting with the required resources via the production of components and key parts all the way through to their application in drive trains in BEV, PHEV and FCEV. The central requirement is the development of a holistic recycling concept which promotes the use of secondary resources from electric machines.
