The progress report summarizes the NPM work in the Corona Year 2020. It highlights the importance of innovations, especially digitization, for the mobility turnaround. For the mobility system, for example, only digitization enables cross-modal networking and intermodal travel chains. Other topics covered in the report include standardization, climate protection in the area of commercial vehicles, possible uses of alternative drives and fuels, economic aspects of the charging infrastructure, and the value-added networks of battery recycling and electric machines.
